7th place finish for KaDy Students - a new Finnish record!

7th European Universities Futsal Championships are over. Victory against the University Evry Val Essonne ensured that KaDy Students set a new Finnish record with a 7th place finish.

Whereas the French tried perhaps a bit too confidently to challenge the KaDy titans constantly on one-on-one situations, KaDy Students remained unconcerned and used their physical superiority - led by the massive Kerkko Huhtanen - to claim a justified 2-3 (0-2) win. Goals were contributed by Jukka Kytölä (pen), Mikko Kytölä and Jussi Kaihlajärvi. Humble Kimmo Tolvanen stood between the posts in place of suspended (cumulative yellow cards) goalkeeper Riku Pelkonen.
